3 Choices You Need to Make to Handle the Waves in 2017

Welcome to 2017. It’s going to be an awesome year I can feel it already. My juices are flowing. I’ve got lots and lots of playing for you guys, lots of new tactics and lots of strategies. Lots of really good things that I can help you, if you want to grow, if you want to develop, if you want to enhance what you do in your business. Well then 2017 is going to be awesome for you. So stick around, it’s going to be fantastic.

Guys, just at here Leighton beach in Perth, really fantastic place to be. Have a look at the water, it’s just trying to get you greedy, greedy glance going a little bit with the back-up behind me but seriously guys, just be down in the beach here and think about a few things that are happening and coming up in 2017.

The stuffs we’ve been through, the last year or year and a half or two years maybe, and some things that are going on behind, that coping up behind us. There’s also things that are going on in front of us as well, and it’s kind of like waves at the beach.

This waves all the time, think about the waves that we are facing. It’s all the new reforms, the government legislations, the precious that were coming on 01:17 and compliance point of view. Just the sheer volume of work that needs to be done to do the awesome work that we do is financial planning.

The massive amount of things happening in our world that we have to counter, they are like waves crashing all the time.

It got me thinking that this 3 different ways that you can handle a wave.

The First way is that you can get smashed, you can get pummeled by the wave, can’t you? You can get buried by it, get rolling, caught in the wave, really hammered by the wave, and it’s fine. Normally you can get up, and you’re coughing, spluttering and all the rest of you do get through. So that’s one way you can do. You can get smashed by the wave.

The Second way is that you can duck under the wave you can put your head in the sand, you can avoid, try to ignore, hope and pray that everything will go away and that you’ll be fine and there will be nothing more that you need to do. So you can just keep doing the things you’ve done year after year after year.

The Third way, there is a third way and it is you can actually ride the wave. You can start getting some momentum, you can get a little bit ahead to the wave. You can build up the momentum and the growth, and you can ride. Get on that wave and ride it into the shore.

That’s how what I want you to think about 2017. We’ve got lots of coming up. There’s lots of things in front of us. Things that we have to plan at, things that we need to strategise about, we need to get prepared, and it’s not good enough to just be a technical financial planner anymore. You need to be much more than that; you need to have really good strong model, you need to be able to track the right type of clients that are going to help you build your business. You’ve got to convert those clients once you’ve converted it.

Once you’ve converted those clients, you have to deliver. You got to give X-factor delivery against services that are not good anymore. It’s got to be X-factor, it’s got to be satisfaction rather than service. Once you’ve delivered then we go there confidently and build out referral networks, and once we got that right then we can really scale and leverage our business and get that marking place.

So this 6 key pillars that I believe, things that you need to look after in 2017.
Which one’s are going to be for you?

Are you going to be the person that gets pummeled by the wave, or the issues and challenges that we got coming up in front of us?

Are you going to be the person that ducks under it? Buries your head in the sand, tries to ignore it, hopes for the best and then gets the end of 2017 and says “Hey, this year didn’t go how I planned it to go. Just like last year and the year before”.

Are you going to be that person gets on the wave, rides the wave. Gets their balance, gets their momentum, and really really focuses on how they can get ahead in 2017. Ride that wave all the way into the shore.
