Be CAREFUL who you follow… Coaching Club Insider

I got an email from a brand new Blackwing Coaching Club Insider a couple of weeks ago, letting all of her contacts know how excited she was about her new website.

The email started with something about “with great fanfare & excitement”, then telling us to go check out her new site, and recommending the designer who “specialises in websites for financial planners”.

She spent $990 on a template website for planners.

You know I’m always looking for ways to hook you up with good resources, so I clicked on the link to check out the website design specialist.

I saw a ‘pretty’ site, with a picture of a sandy beach in the background. That is what I DID see.

HERE’S WHAT I DIDN’T SEE:

  •  I didn’t see an opt-in form.
  • I didn’t see any kind of Money Magnet or low-risk information offer.
  • I didn’t see a clear next step or call to action.
  •  I didn’t see any talk of ROI or results of any kind.

If you’re a financial planner, a site like that isn’t going to help you one bit.

You’ve just gotta be SO CAREFUL who you learn from.

The world is full of sharks and “well meaning but ignorant people”, and if you don’t know what you need, you’ll spend time, energy & money with people who have no business in your business (if you know what i mean).

Almost every week I screen my guys from 2-3 underqualified, hungry vendors trying to get access to them through me.

Don’t listen to peers who aren’t successful yet.

Don’t listen to so-called experts & service providers who don’t do (or even know) the basics.

Get your guidance from someone who knows what they’re doing, has done it before, and can help you do it to.
