How To Increase Your Referral Alliances!

Our theme at Blackwing Profit right now is REFERRALS.
And specifically, today I want to chat about Alliance Partner Referrals and building a system!
A process!
A structured referral approach that’ll change the WAY you get, the quality of WHAT you get…, and it’ll change from WHO you get your referrals from FOREVER!!
If you want more quality referrals, it’s about developing new or re-kindling old or BROKEN relationships with your Strategic Alliance Partners or Referral Sources!
See, this blog came about cos I got a message from one of our Blackwing posse about how she’d used the No Pressure Alliance Approach template to reach out to a heap of potential referral partners a while back (these ones were all accountants) and she got 100% strike rate with meetings to talk about building a referral relationship!!
She emailed 10 Accountants and got 10 meetings with them!
Pretty cool hey?
She was stoked anyway but what was more important was 3 things that I got her to think about BEFORE she sent off the emails….
The first question I asked was – What’s stopping you from reaching out to potential strategic alliance partners or referral sources referring to you more?
The second was Why do some financial planners have a constant referral pipeline and others (like you) struggle to even get 1 or 2 referrals in a six month (let alone a week….);
And the third thing we talked about was what would need to be TRUE for them to feel super comfortable with referring to you….?
So it was WHAT’S STOPPING THEM.
Why aren’t there ENOUGH of them.
And what do we need to do to make them WANT TO REFER…?
And funny thing was, as soon as we were clear on the answers to those questions….
And were able to prepare for those contingencies BEFORE we met….
It gave her all the confidence she needed to make the pro-active approach and the results were amazing…!
So they’re my questions to you right now….
Why do think people don’t refer you – even when they promise they will…?
How come your friends or someone you know in financial planning is killing it, and you can barely attract a referral…. (well, a half decent one anyway….)
And what do you need to be able to answer or overcome that’ll give alliances the TRUST and RESPECT you need for them to feel comfortable to refer to you…?
