What to Do When You Get a NO-SHOW!!

And in today’s video, I’m going to show you what TO do… and what NOT to do – if you get a NO-SHOW at your office.

There’s some certain things you should do… and certain things you definitely avoid that’ll not only make your client stick…

But build an ADVOCATE as well!

This should be fun.

So I was on a Focus 20 Session the other day…

That’s a Fast-Track Focus session where I roll up my sleeves and jump in and be as valuable as I possibly can in 20 minutes or so with my clients.

You know, fix one specific problem there and then on the call! 

And we were talking about conversions… and people NOT turning up to a meeting.

And the question came up…

Steve – How Do You Handle A No Show…?

And it’s a great question so I thought this might help.

See, I reckon there’s 3 different ways you can handle a NO SHOW:

  1. You can Ignore it (but then there’s NO INCOME…) 
  2. React Angrily – (but that just gets them OFFSIDE…) 
  3. Show some Empathy & Compassion for the situation (and maybe make a REAL Friend!!)

They didn’t just blow you off!

People aren’t normally rude…

Most people just aren’t intrinsically built that way… 

Normally there’s a good reason for someone not showing up..

So instead of over-reacting…

Why not OVER – EMPATHISE! And make a friend.

Send them a quick TEXT… 

Hey John, just checking in… We had our appointment today at 2.30pm… 

You’re normally right on time  / you said you were going to make it…”

IS EVERYTHING OK…? ARE YOU ALL GOOD…?”

Try it next time and see how quick they respond and apologise and make another time to meet again…!!

If we said to them – 

HEY!!! We’ve got a 24 Hour cancellation policy…. and we’ll be sending a Bill…”

Well, it’s not a good look and you’d probably lose the client. (or you’ll both feel Awkward/ or Bad at the least)

Instead – reach out with Empathy.

Reach out with Interest, Care & Concern.

Let’s remove the EGO out the equation and put your HEART IN it instead!!!
